New Location for Contrakyoto, and many dances coming up...

UPCOMING DANCES in FUSHIMI and HIGASHIYAMA (TAKANO) and BASKETBALL NIGHT and GAME NIGHT

We are really excited to announce that we have found a new location for the Takano Dance, the Higashiyama Iki iki Shimin Katsudo Center. It is located just a few minutes from the Sanjo Keihan.

To get there you get out of Exit 2 of the subway, go west a few blocks to "Hanami Kouji Dori" and turn south. It's at the end of the street.

京阪三条の出口２から、東に１00メートルほど入り、花見小路通りで南に下がります。右手に見える大きな建物がセンターです。くわしい地図はHPを見てください。

The Higashiyama center is a great space, including


a KITCHEN so we can eat there!  

A BASKETBALL GYM, so GAME ON!

The game is free, though we will expect people to chip in to pay for the Hall (which is 1000円)


There is a SENTO nearby so we can all chill out after the game/dance.

But we can also dance there, which makes us want to have a
CELEBRATION DANCE
on Sunday, August 28,  from 5 to 9 PM

And, by coincidence, our friend and caller BILL BARITOMPA from New Zealand is visiting Japan at that time, and he offered to be our guest caller for this dance!

This month the dance is in one of the smaller dance rooms, but next month we will be using the full sized banquet hall  which includes sound equipment.
