また東山市民いきいき活動センターの、9番教室にて行います。体育館や集会室ではないので、注意してください。いつもどおり、初心者講習は１時から行います。
Again, at Higashiyama, in classroom #9. As usual, there will be a review and beginner's workshop at 1:00, so come please come early.

来月の伏見コントラは6月9日、午後5～8時で行います！
場所はまだ未定ですが、決まりしだいお伝えします。

Also, in Fushimi, the next dance is on Saturday, June 9th, from 5-8PM. The exact location is to be announced. More info upcoming, or on our facebook page.

On June 30th we will be dancing at the Kansai Franco-Japanese Institute "Fete de la Musique". We are dancing from 4 to 5:30 on the 3rd floor, but it is an all day event. There is a map on our home page at the link above. More info to come.

It's been a long cold winter, and hopefully spring is creeping in. Just in time it seems, for our next contradance:

長い冬でしたけれど、ようやく春が忍び寄ってきたようです。春真っ盛りに間に合うように、次のコントラダンスが開かれます！
4月29日(日) 午後1時~5時
This time, it will be held in Higashiyama, in one of the classrooms, not in the gym. Ask for it or follow the sign when you arrive. This time Peter Damascheck is back from his world travels, and will be gracing us with his musical skills . As usual, there will be a review and beginner's workshop at 1:00, so come please come early.
東山市民いきいき活動センターの、教室にて行います。体育館や集会室ではないので、注意してください。何番教室かは着いたらわかるようにしておきます。ピーターが世界旅行から戻ってきました！音楽が楽しみですね。いつもどおり、初心者講習は１時から行います。

thank you and news

This is just a quick thank you to everyone who turned out to the recent dances at Higashiyama and Tambabashi/Fushimi. We had some very nice dances, and I am glad to say, even though we announced it was last minute, that we were able to raise 5,000 yen to the schop-dan fireworks festival. Well done everyone!

先月の東山ダンス、伏見ダンスに参加してくれたみなさん、どうもありがとう！いくつかとてもいいダンスも踊れて、そして直前のお知らせだったにも関わらず、スコップ団に寄付するために5000円を集めることができました！ゆうちょ銀行のほうから、もう振り込みました。ほんとうにどうもありがとう。

As it turns out, I was introduced to the head of another project helping East Japan Earthquake survivors, this time in Otsuchi in Iwate. In commemoration of the first anniversary of the earthquake, they are holding a photo exhibition at the International Community Center in the beginning of March. I saw some of the pictures of their town before and after the disaster, and they are very interesting, so I am looking forward to seeing the full exhibition. そして偶然にも、東北の被災地を支援しているほかの団体のひとと先日知り合いました。岩手の大槌で活動しているそうです。あの日からもうすぐ一年経つので、蹴上の国際交流会館にて写真展を行うそうです。災害以前以後の写真を少し見せてもらいましたが、とても興味深かったです。準備段階や当日のスタッフで、まだボランティアの人数が足りていないようなので、ボランティアをしたいという人はちだえつこさんchidalohae@yahoo.co.jp　までメールをしてみてください。一時間でも二時間でも、ありがたいそうです。団体のＨＰはこちらです。http://www.guruttootsuchi.org/

Lastly, I must mention for all you dance lovers that the Wim Wenders movie  ("Pina") about the great dancer/choreographer Pina Bausch is playing at T-Joy Cinema  in Aeon mall. It was awesome!

最後に、ダンスがだいすきな人たちみんなにおすすめしたいのが、ヴィム・ベンダース監督の映画「ピナ」です。今京都駅南のイオンモールで上映中です。すごかったよ！

土曜日：東北 カンパ ダンス

さあさあ次のダンスが今週末に近づいてきました！

突然ですが、今回のダンスで集まったお金は、場所代とお礼代以外、震災でなくなった方たちへの鎮魂花火のために寄付させていただきたいと思っています。ぜひぜひいらしてくださいね！
「天国にぶっぱなせ！」は、来月の３月１０日、くもりでも雨でも、宮城にて行う花火大会です。スコップ団という、被災した家を清掃する活動（そしてその家の方が帰る前に去るんだそう）をしてきた団体が主催しています。お墓にお供えするお花のように、天国にいる２万人の死者、行方不明者のみなさんに「元気だよ」と伝えるための花火です。ぜひ、くわしくは以下のＵＲＬをご参照ください。

そして直前のお知らせですが、フランスから特別なお客様、ミッシェル・ブリオンさんが来てくれます。直輸入のフレンチコントラが楽しめますよ！以前来てくれたときも、とても楽しかったです。これは見逃せません。そして、今回も生演奏の音楽で踊れます！

できるなら、早い時間に来てください。特に新しいダンサーたちは、最初に基本の動きをおさらいします。5時からです。

それと、３月３日にはアイリッシュパブ、ノームにてシンギング・アラウンド・ザ・テーブルがあることもお知らせします。先月コントラダンスのあとそのまま大勢でおじゃましたのですが、３０人以上の人達と、おいしいご飯と音楽がたくさんのすばらしい時間を過ごしました。あなたもぜひ来てみてください！詳しくは下記に。

そしてもちろん、２月２６日の伏見ダンス、そして３月の聖パトリックス祭も忘れずに！
